A Deeper Understanding

A seed only supplies enough energy for itself to sprout. So where does it get enough energy to grow to maturity?

Today the 4-6th grade girls took a look at how plants produce their own food (glucose) through the process of photosynthesis.

They learned that everything we eat depends on this process!

When the lesson was over, we enjoyed our own special "salad bar" of seeds, sprouts, lettuce, apples and cranberries. Yummmm.
