Kitchen Art

The 4th-6th grade gardening class collaborated with the art and music department to create wall art that is both beautiful and functional. The Maharishi School kitchen has challenges with reverberating sound that makes it difficult to hear instructions and comments when we are working in the kitchen. To resolve this issue the gardening class worked with the music department to build sound panels covered in muslim. The art department then worked with each student to create an original print of a fruit or vegetable. The collection of panels was hung in the kitchen to create a beautiful art work and a little less echo.
