Apple Butter Bliss
We had the fun of working with our own "Martha Stewart" making apple butter from tree to table. First we cut and cored the fresh-picked apples from our orchard. We cooked them down in a big pot in the kitchen and pressed the compote through a food mill. We cooked and stirred, added sugar and spice and processed the jars in the canner. After they cooled, we put on the labels and ingredient tags (love the pic of our very own apple pickers!). Yum!

Apple Cider Makers
The Middle School Class pours the end product to taste. The Garden of Bliss orchard produced an abundant apple crop this year. So the Middle School made fresh apple cider by crushing and pressing the apples. The fresh sweet cider was a big hit - even the Upper School students wanted a taste.
