The 1st - 3rd grade boys took a break while learning about the Fall season. We talked about why the leaves turn brown and looked for signs of animals and birds and observed where they go and how they prepare for winter. Best of all - they got to jump in the leaves!
1st - 3rd grade girls learned about how squirrels prepare to stay warm in the winter. We went out and scouted the campus for squirrel nests and discussed how they use sticks and leaves to build them. Then we gathered sticks and leaves and built one ourselves!
