Although it was 25 degrees outside this week, it was a balmy 68 degrees in the greenhouse (on the sunny days!) That was warm enough to bring the 3rd/4th grade Maharishi School girls class out to mix up our first batch of potting soil.

We combined our finished compost with peat moss and vermiculite, then added a bit of alfalfa meal, azomite and green sand to create a nourishing mixture. We skimmed the previous night's ice off the water buckets and added just the right amount of water. Now we're ready to start planting seeds next week.
